The Strawless Ocean toolkit is an open-source resource for anyone running a campaign in their school, workplace, restaurant, city, or community. Use the assets to spread the #StopSucking message, recruit pledge signers, and document your impact.
What's in the toolkit
- Printable posters in multiple sizes — for restaurant tables, school hallways, conference booths, and event signage.
- Social media graphics sized for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn — ready to download and post.
- A one-page primer on the science of ocean plastic and the case for refusing single-use plastic straws — useful for educators, organizers, and community presenters.
- The #StopSucking visual identity — logos, type guidelines, color palette — for designers and partner organizations creating their own materials.
- Translations in more than a dozen languages, courtesy of our Global Translator Team.

Toolkit downloads are temporarily paused — check back soon. In the meantime, the source files of the original campaign are available on request via press@strawlessocean.org.
How to use the toolkit
The toolkit is open-source — meaning anyone can use it without asking permission. We do ask three things:
- Keep the credit line: "An Open-Source Resource Developed by Lonely Whale."
- Don't modify the inclusion language about disability community needs.
- Tag @LonelyWhale with #StopSucking when you post your campaign so we can amplify your work.
